are these blackheads or are they herpes sores? herpes can appear as ';little bumps'; on your lip line. i ask this b/c you said it turns yellow %26amp; scabby which is what herpes does. to be certain you can ask your doctor. oral %26amp; topical antivirals are the way to treat herpes.

Once you pop them (I liked the previous posters suggestion about using a bobby pin to scratch them and pop them), be careful not to scratch at the scab! Sometimes they bleed and leave a scab, and it'll just be more noticeable if you scratch at it.
Try cleaning your ears more often with q-tips and maybe some sort of acne wipes/cream. I personally use Clearsil Ultra, but ask a beauty salon/spa about better creams (I use these too because I have dry skin and Clearsil dries it out even more). Those can include exfoliants, deep pore cleansing foam, and dual-active toners.

Instead get some liquid soap and mix it with sugar (that you use for tea and coffee) and scrub it on your face.

i dont think you can get rid of blackheads permanently esp. when you have oily skin but this is a method i use and it does get rid of my blackheads. Never squeeze your blackhead because you only get some of it out and the rest goes even deeper into your skin. First off, you can steam your face with boil water in a pot and then put a towel over your head to keep the steam in. Start by putting your face a far, not too far though just far enough where it doesnt feel like your face is burning but close enough where your can feel the steam. This will open our pores up so it'll be easier to get the blackheads out. Then pat your face dry with a clean towel and never wipe your face b/c it's too harsh for your face and your taking the mositure out, After that get an egg and separate the egg yolk and the clear stuff then after that mix the clear stuff in a bowl until it becomes foaming and then put it on your face section by section like start with your cheeks. So when you spread it onto one side of your cheek grab toilet paper and put it over your cheek and then start putting the egg white over the paper towel like dabbing it and be careful because it might rip. Do that to your whole face and it'll look like a mask. You'll look funny but hey at least your removing your blackheads and it really works so trust me. So after your whole face is covers wait 30 minutes and try not to talk because it's going to harden. After that 30 minutes has passed, dont rip it off just peel it off slowly and trust me you'll see your blackhead on the paper towel and it looks gross especially if there's a lot. Wash your face afterwards and use a toner. Start doing this 3 to 4 times a week then do it less.

Someone I know had a blackhead on the side of their nose and they tried to pop it a long time ago, but it grew into this wart thing, which looks like a bump on their nose. I do sometimes. what blackheads are is dirt and gunk compacted into your pore (as opposed to zits, which are usually bacterial) you can extract SOME blackheads without causing damage to your skin-- others can be too deep and may leave you with a gaping pore... almost as bad as the blackhead itself.
be careful is all I say... prep your skin: wash your face first. soak a washcloth in hot, steamy, water, and (after it cools enough) put in on your face for a while to help open your pores. then (with clean hands!) you can squeeze out the dirt. if you can get your hands on some astringent, apply that with a cotton ball all over your face to help clean your skin and balance pH. after you do, rinse your face with cold water to help close up your pores, and then apply some salicylic acid acne spot treatment. this will also help close up the pore and keep it clean.
just remember that YOU have to judge whether it's safe or not. if it doesn't work, give up on that particular one and use good face wash and spot treatment. it's skin: it will bleed if you dig your nails into it!! =P haha

Okay, So I bought this ';wonderful'; product tonight for 17.00. I had no idea how to take the pad off so I just ripped the thing off. Now the other pads wont stick on it. Deep clean facials should be done at least every 2 months. Maybe even once a month if your skin is acne prone.

That is an excellent product but I believe it is a clay mask. That kind of mask is designed more for oily skin as it can cause drying. Although the mint does help to ';tighten pores';. There is nothing you can do to actually ';shrink'; your pores, even if a product says you can. Clean and Clear has a really good blackhead clearing scrub that warms when you scrub. I would recommend something like that. Don't get me wrong you can use the mask, but if you begin to get dry try to cut back on how often you use it! I now use Clean and Clear's three-step solution and it works wonders. My face is really clearing up and I'm not getting pimples every couple of days like I used to. Not only that, but it really makes your face feel softer and smoother. It's fairly inexpensive, only about $20 depending where you go. For me, it made my acne worse. And it also didn't cure my blackheads. I only used it for 2-3 days, but it had already broken my face out, so I stopped early. Does the Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser really work?
The Clean %26amp; Clear Blckhead Eraser is supposed to get rid of blackheads through vibrations and such. I mainly want to get rid of the blackheads from my chin and nose. So I am wondering, 1) would it work for my nose because of the size and shape of it and 2) does the thing even work??????????

I know this is gross, but I have a blackhead that I need to remove. I have tried steam, I have that little blackhead remover metal thing, but doesn't work. It just won't pop out. I bought this for around $12 at Wal-mart. No need to go to a specialty store. Check out Fortinos too fo'sho because it is sometimes MUCH cheaper than Wal-mart.
Black head cleansers are usually between $8-$14.

It sounds like what you said, a pimple. Just keep it clean and it should heal on it's own. I had the same situation on my thigh only it left a hole a lot bigger and it filled in and healed within days. Try not to squeeze anymore than you already have unless there is reoccurring puss.

Your friend is absolutely correct. While using the blackhead remover, the pressure plus the metal can damage the skin and scar it. Get a exfoliating scrub like St. Ives Apricot Scrub and use it while in the shower ...use every day if needed. Using those removers are dangerous and do cause injury to the skin.

I would suggest getting an exfoliator and an antibacterial wash for your face. Use warm water and your exfoliator to exfoliate your face, then wash off using warm water again. Then use your antibacterial wash all over, then wash off with very cold water. (this closes your pores and prevents blackheads)

i would just try the biore pore strips.. i just got them last week and you use them 3x weekly.. they open all of your pores on your nose and clean them out.. it like penetrates the blackhead and dissolves it, then lifts all the crap away when you peel it off.

Your friend is absolutely correct. While using the blackhead remover, the pressure plus the metal can damage the skin and scar it. Get a exfoliating scrub like St. Ives Apricot Scrub and use it while in the shower ...use every day if needed. Using those removers are dangerous and do cause injury to the skin.

If you have any Aloe plant, put some on the redness, should sooth it and heals it too.

I don't recommend their foundation with the salycilic acid in it though, because that one doesn't cover well. Stick to the noncomodogenic one and you'll be fine. Also, make sure to put some sort of tea tree oil product on you skin before you do the foundation, to help prevent breakouts. Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good consistancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. These two things are very inexpensive and it's very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.
Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. But this is not recommended to everyone because it can make it worse.
Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you're prone to pimples. Don't use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don't scrub too hard when you wash your face, because it can irritate your skin.
Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one or two tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don't pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars. Zinc can be found in many types of fishes.
If you have sensitive skin, don't use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples. the only hope of getting rid of your blackheads would be for your local gp to prescribe you something stronger %26amp; more effective. i have mild acne %26amp; had to do tht %26amp; the stuff my gp gave me was great. book an appointment to go see them, it will be worth it - they are used to seeing people with spot problems all the time!
